Trailerpark began in 2001 as a one-off night in Cardiff's UGC Cinema (now Cineworld Cinema). Due to the overwhelming success another was held then a third and fourth in May 2004 . Any profit raised from the tickets has gone back into funding future events. The nights consist of a show reel containing short films in the main screen, whilst in the bar people are invited to watch live art and listen to bands whilst relaxing and enjoying a view over the city at night from the large windows on the top floor. The success of the previous events has enabled future Trailerparks, which aim to bridge the gap between mainstream culture and the exclusivity of the art institution and provide a window into art and creativity that is open to all. Encouraging public involvement within the arts both locally and internationally.
